ROB THORNTON
Rob is a warm, lovable personality with endless energy and a great sense of humour - making him a favourite with audiences when he's both on camera and hosting live events.
Rob predominantly works within his two biggest passions of Sport & Tech, and he is currently training for his NCTJ with the UK's leading journalism school News Associates.
TECHNOLOGY
Rob is a huge fan of tech & gadgets, and this passion has led to him working with some of the biggest brands in the consumer tech industry.
Most recently he was invited to launch a brand new VR headset on Shop on TV, a new shopping show broadcasting live on ITV.
Rob is also the lead Tech Expert for Currys, where he has created content and reviewed some of the most exciting product launches in recent years including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Samsung Galaxy S21 & S22 Series and Google Pixel 6.
His knowledge spans beyond consumer tech into technology in general, and he regularly hosts live events & panel discussions on topics including AI, cryptocurrency and online security.
SPORT
Rob has a wealth of experience across various sports - with roles including hosting fan zones, in-vision presenting, stadium PA, commentary and interviews.
He has been working with Crystal Palace FC since 2019 hosting their matchday fan zone, as well as hosting fan zones across the UK for the FIFA Men's World Cup, Women's Euros and Europa Conference League Final.
Rob also works within Formula 1, where he has hosted the VIP Village Enclosure at the Silverstone British Grand Prix in 2022 & 2023.
In recent years, Rob has also worked with England Netball, World Triathlon, BOXPARK and Guinness World Records.
