ROB THORNTON

Rob is a warm, lovable personality with endless energy and a great sense of humour - making him a favourite with audiences when he's both on camera and hosting live events.

Rob predominantly works within Sport & Live Events, and he is currently training for his NCTJ with the UK's leading journalism school News Associates.

SPORT

Rob has a wealth of experience across various sports - with roles including hosting fan zones, in-vision presenting, stadium PA, commentary and interviews.

He has been working with Crystal Palace FC since 2019 hosting their matchday fan zone, as well as hosting fan zones across the UK for the FIFA Men's World Cup, Women's Euros and Europa Conference League Final.

Rob also works within Formula 1, where he has hosted the VIP Village Enclosure at the Silverstone British Grand Prix in 2022 & 2023.

In recent years, Rob has also worked with England Netball, World Triathlon and BOXPARK.

LIVE EVENTS

Rob has over 10+ years experience as a live events presenter and audience warm up. His naturally ability to instantly connect with a crowd has seen him working across the UK for some huge national brands.

Rob hosted an I'm a Celeb themed fundraising event for Enterprise Mobility in partnership with BBC's Children in Need in November 2023, and he's delighted to be invited back to host their gala in 2024!

He has also hosted various other charity events including family fun days and auction/dinners for clients including Demelza Hospice and Merlin Entertainments.

As a gadget lover, Rob has hosted live shows for tech retailer Currys, as well as panel discussions and Q&A's with industry leading experts from companies including Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Samsung.

Rob has also hosted live events for brands including Firework Champions, Guinness World Records and Miss Great Britain.
